Safety Tips for Visitors
- Even though the Tropical Tablelands is much cooler
than the coast, always wear a shirt, hat, sunglasses
and sunscreen lotion when outside.
- If you are bushwalking on the Tablelands always
check the local maps and guides before starting.
Always take water, some food, maps, some first aid
supplies, insect repellent, a torch and a friend.
- Check the length and degree of fitness required
before using a bush walk track.
- Read signs and maps carefully, stay on the track
and behind safety barriers.
